@Jermaine I have plenty of time to do it too — they aren’t due to start shipping until late 2009. And even that’s not guaranteed.

@Erik RED does provide lens mounts for Nikon and Canon, and the two larger Scarlet models give you that option. But the smallest Scarlet model that still allows removable lenses uses a system they’re calling mini-RED that works with their new selection of prime lenses.

The pictures they provided makes it look like the whole lens adapter could be replaced with whatever you want, so I’m thinking you could probably use one of the Nikon or Canon mounts.

Also, I’m really jealous that you got to see the RED One in person. Just saying.

You know, I distinctly remember a Nikon lens being on the RED camera that I saw at Pop!Tech.
